Jesus commands us to “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others.” (1 Peter 4:10)

Every person has unique, God-given gifts, passions, and abilities.

At QUAKE it is our goal for every teen to be involved in a ministry that they are passionate about in order to share the LOVE of Christ and LEAD others to Him.

Here are just a few of the ministries that you can get involved in at QUAKE.

Audio Visual Team: This AV team makes Sunday night Quake happen. This team includes sound, video, Powerpoint or Media Shout, etc. If you are a technically minded person that loves working behind the scenes to make things look and sound great, then this is for you!

Birthday Card Team: Who doesn’t like to get cards on their birthday? This team keeps track of the birthdays of our teens from month to month and sends cards. If you love birthdays, then this ministry is for you.
 

Dare2Care Team: This ministry seeks to make every visitor feel welcome, loved, and cared for. The first few minutes are critical to a person deciding if they are going to come back or never return. This ministry will teach and train you to identify, befriend, and follow-up on new teens at Quake to help them get connected.

Drama Team: The drama team works with the lesson schedule for Sunday night youth-led worship experiences to provide quality, relevant dramas that fit the topic for the evening. If you are good at acting or just like to do it, this is for you.

Enner Team: Our youth group has adopted a child from Compassion International ~ Enner Alexis Chilel Lopez from Guatemala. This ministry is responsible for collecting funds ($32 a month) for Enner as well as making sure we communicate regularly with him.

Facility Team: Every time we have an event at the church we need a team to come a little early and stay a little late to help set-up and clean-up. This is not a glorious ministry but it is one of the most important ministries of this youth ministry!

Greeters: Our greeters are a teen’s first impression of Quake. We need people who can smile, shake hands, and go out of their way to make people feel welcome! If that’s you, then this is for you!

Music Library Team: We have our own music CD library where youth can check out Christian CDs for a week at a time. If you love music and are organized, this ministry is for you. This team is responsible for the check out, return, and care of all our CDs as well as suggesting additions to the library.

Photography Team: If you own a camera you’re eligible! Actually, even if you don’t own a camera, you’re still eligible. We need students to be responsible and creative with a camera to take pictures at all our events for the web page, newsletters, and promotion.

The Breakfast Club Team: On the second & fourth Mondays of each month during school, Quake meets at the McDonald’s on Route 31 at 6:30 am for breakfast, a devotion, and prayer. If you like to eat, then this is for you. This team organizes devotions and posts reminders for these Monday morning meetings.

Prayer Partners: This ministry allows you to support the youth ministry by praying specifically for the leadership, students, events, and regular programming of the youth ministry. Each prayer partner will receive a monthly prayer update giving specific direction for prayer. This ministry is incredibly important!

Student Leadership Team: Student Leadership is broken up into two groups: Senior Leadership (10th-12th grades) and Junior Leadership (7th-9th grades). Each individual interested in participating must fill out an application and interview with the youth pastor. All youth involved in student leadership must: 1) sign a contract and commit to a no-doubt lifestyle, 2) be in a discipleship group, 3) consistently attend Sunday night youth, 4) be actively involved in or leading a ministry (senior leadership).

Web Team: Our website is an important tool to promote our youth ministry. This team is responsible for maintaining and creatively updating our website.

Youth Praise Band ~ REACH: If you have a heart to worship and are musically gifted then we need you. The goal of this team is to assist other students enter into the presence of God through worship. If this excites you, check REACH out!
